Decentralized organization with clear governance
Sandvik has a decentralized organization. Operations are conducted in three business areas, each of them having several divisions with responsibility for research and development (R&D), production and sales of their respective products and services. The nature of each business decides, for example, production set-up and go-to-market strategy.
An established governance framework including Group policies, Group procedures and other steering documentation governs the way we conduct our business. The whole organization shares the same purpose and values.
Sandvik’s target industries are, for example, mining, construction, automotive, aerospace and general engineering – industries which benefit greatly from Sandvik’s vast knowledge in materials technology, customer applications and industrial processes.
