Sandvik has opted into the Australian Tax Transparency Code. This Tax Report has been prepared in accordance with the Board of Taxation’s Voluntary Tax Transparency Code.
Sandvik complies with the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LKSG) that requires companies to conduct appropriate human rights and certain environmental due diligence in their supply chains. The Act applies from January 1, 2023 for companies in Germany with at least 3,000 employees. From January 1, 2024, companies in Germany with at least 1,000 employees will be affected.

Large commercial organisations must publish an annual statement setting out the steps they take to prevent modern slavery in their business and their supply chains. This is a requirement under section 54 (Transparency in Supply Chains) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

The new UK Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017, requires all UK employers to comply with the Gender Pay regulations for any year where they have a 'headcount' of 250 or more employees based in the UK on 5 April each year.

The Trustees of the Sandvik UK Group Defined Benefit Pension Plan have drawn up the attached Statement of Investment Principles to comply with the requirements of the Pensions Act 1995 and associated legislation including the Occupational Pension Schemes (Investment) Regulations 2005 (as amended).

As well as the Statement of Investment Principles the trustees are also required to publish the Engagement Policy documentation.
There is a requirement for large UK companies or groups to formally publish a tax strategy which demonstrates our business’s approach to risk management and governance.
The Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 introduced the legislative basis for gender pay gap reporting in Ireland and requires organizations to report on their hourly gender pay gap. Organizations with over 150 employees are required to report by selecting a “snapshot” date in 2024. Sandvik Mining & Construction Logistics Ltd Ireland chose 30 June 2024 as its snapshot date.
