Production Planner

Sandvik Mining | Location: Kenwick, WA

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

About the Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our high-performing team at our workshop in Kewdale.

In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating production activities within our busy workshop. From scheduling jobs and allocating resources to collaborating with technicians, supervisors, and procurement teams - you’ll be at the heart of ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations. You’ll also play an active role in identifying opportunities to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is primarily office-based, but you'll need to be hands-on - regularly engaging with workshop operations. You'll also occasionally visit customer and supplier sites, including mine sites and industrial environments, which means adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you support a range of operational needs across varied locations.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing detailed production plans and schedules

  • Monitoring job progress and coordinating workshop activities

  • Ensuring timely procurement of materials and contractor engagement

  • Maintaining accurate records and visual management systems

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency

  • Contributing to a strong safety culture and organisational compliance

About you

  • Experience in workshop planning, scheduling, or coordination

  • Solid understanding of maintenance workflows and inventory control

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and planning tools

  • Strong communication and time management skills

  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset

  • Relevant trade or engineering qualification

  • Experience with Maximo or similar ERP systems

  • Exposure to underground mining equipment and workshop operations
