We are now recruiting for a Data Custodian - for a 12-month Fixed-Term Role in our Dublin Office.

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the Data Custodian role is to help the organisation achieve its information and data quality objectives through central monitoring and reporting of key information objects.

Main responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyse, and drive improvements in key data quality metrics across master data domains
  • Perform root cause analysis on data quality and consistency issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Proactively identify data issues across systems (MDG, S/4, and downstream platforms) and coordinate remediation
  • Support and optimize data governance processes, including workflows, validations, and approval mechanisms
  • Ensure data consistency across integrated systems, identifying mismatches and resolving cross-system issues
  • Create, maintain, and govern central reference data and critical master data objects
  • Monitor and optimize data creation and change workflows, ensuring SLA adherence and efficiency
  • Coordinate and execute mass data updates, migrations, and data correction activities
  • Collaborate with integration and technical teams to ensure accurate and reliable data flows
  • Contribute to the development of automation rules, validations, and business logic within MDG
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across data management, governance, and quality processes
  • Other ad hoc duties as requested by management

EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP MDG and S/4HANA
  • Understanding of data quality, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • 2–4 years’ experience in data/information management

Education, Licenses & Certificates

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
