Freight System Analyst

Sandvik Mining & Rock, the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has 1 opening for Freight System Analyst on our 1st shift at 8:30AM.

The Freight System Analyst is responsible for driving Productivity and Operational Efficiency through structured problem solving, transportation systems governance, and advanced operational analytics. This role increases value-added activities within the transportation team by leveraging TMS capabilities, ensuring data integrity, and transforming operational data into actionable intelligence aligned with KPI targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • TMS Ownership & Governance
  • Act as the functional owner and subject matter expert for the Transportation Management System (TMS), ensuring data integrity, milestone accuracy, and standardized process adherence.
  • Systems Integration Oversight
  • Validate and maintain integration flows between TMS, WMS, and SAP systems to ensure end-to-end data consistency.
  • Advanced Reporting & Power BI Analytics
  • Design and develop automated logistics dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI, TMS and SAP data sources.
  • Performance Monitoring & KPI Management
  • Establish and manage KPI frameworks aligned with business objectives, track service, cost, productivity, and compliance metrics.
  • Operational Reporting Automation
  • Streamline and automate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Logistics, Transport Engineering, IT, and other stakeholders to align system capabilities with operational execution and strategic initiatives.

Experience and Required Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
  • 3–6 years of experience in transportation analytics, control tower operations, or systems-driven supply chain roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and statistical reasoning capabilities.
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience working with SAP (S/4HANA), particularly in logistics or transportation modules.
  • Understanding of ERP–TMS–WMS integration environments.
  • Experience with data automation tools (Power BI or similar).

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000 dependent on experience.
