Warehouse Operator
Job Summary**
As a Warehouse Operator at Sandvik AB, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of goods within our warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery to our customers. This role involves various logistical tasks to support our manufacturing and distribution processes.
Job Responsibilities**
* Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and products, verifying quantities and quality against documentation.
* Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
* Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
* Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or other transport vehicles.
* Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry procedures.
* Operate and perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable.
* Participate in periodic inventory counts and reconciliation.
* Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of clutter.
* Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize workflow and resolve issues.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Valid forklift operator certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and order fulfillment.
* Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and data entry.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse setting.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
