We currently have an opening for a Procurement and Logistics Specialist. This role is responsible for sourcing and procurement activities for materials, services, tooling, and production merchandise while ensuring competitive cost, quality, and delivery standards. The position also supports day-to-day logistics coordination, including freight and shipping activities across North America with occasional global support.

What you will be doing:
- Manage procurement activities for materials, services, tooling, and inventory items
- Create and maintain purchase orders, ensuring approvals and delivery dates are accurate
- Coordinate freight, shipping, and logistics activities across North America
- Support inventory planning to meet production schedules and delivery requirements
- Source and evaluate new suppliers and subcontractors as needed
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier agreements
- Monitor vendor performance and support quality and inventory control initiatives
- Assist internal departments with quotations, tenders, and procurement support
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and purchasing standards
What you will bring along:
Qualifications:
- Personal computer skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Business Central procurement, related software, and knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes are considered an asset.
- A high degree of cost-benefit analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Education and/or Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with emphasis in business administration, economics, and/or engineering.
- Or three (3) years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Or five (5) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment with ongoing exposure to procurement and supply-chain activities
- SCMP designation or a willingness to pursue an SCMP designation.
Environmental Health and Safety
- Adhere to Sandvik's Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
- Attend related training sessions and follow applicable safety procedures, including use of all mandatory PPE when visiting Sandvik or customer facilities.
