Manager Global Supply Chain and Strategic Procurement (m/f/d)

Location: flexible in Europe or Canada, in one of our entities.
Reporting to our Divisional VP Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for the end-to-end global supply chain and procurement strategy across four regions (NOAM, LATAM, EMEA, APAC) and China.
You will act as the global functional owner for supply chain and strategic procurement, ensuring a resilient, efficient, and future-ready network spanning sourcing, category management, planning, logistics, manufacturing support, and customer delivery.

What you will be doing:
Global Strategic Leadership and Process Development
- Define, establish and own global governance, standards, and operating frameworks for supply chain and strategic procurement, while regional organizations retain execution responsibility and local P&L ownership within agreed global guardrails.
- Provide functional leadership to regional supply chain and procurement managers.
- Own global prioritization and trade‑off decisions related to cost, savings initiatives, working capital, inventory (including OSMI), supply chain footprint, and make‑vs‑buy decisions, in close alignment with finance.
- Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy for the division.
- Own the global procurement and category management strategy for the division.
- Define and harmonize global supply chain and procurement processes, as well as lead the global demand planning process.
- Drive and chair global governance forums.
Strategic Procurement and Category Management
- Lead global supplier negotiations and contract frameworks in close collaboration with regional supply chain teams.
- Implement global procurement processes and compliance in close collaboration with regional supply chain teams.
- Deliver global cost‑reduction and value‑creation initiatives contributing to operational savings targets.
- Ensure consistent supplier performance, compliance, and risk management across all regions, strengthen business continuity.
Global Supply Chain Operations
- Oversee global logistics, transportation, and distribution strategy.
- Drive planning excellence and supply reliability across regions.
- Own and deploy global operational excellence and continuous improvement frameworks (e.g. Lean, KPI‑driven management systems).
- Lead global digital architecture, standards, and governance for Supply Chain and Procurement systems (e.g. ERP, TMS, analytics).
Capability and Organization Development
- Define and drive a global capability and talent development framework for supply chain and strategic procurement, including role clarity and structured training programs.
What we are looking for:
- University degree in Business Administration, focus on Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of global experience in supply chain and procurement in multinational environments.
- Strong expertise in supply chain and procurement processes.
- Proven experience in category management and supplier performance management.
- Experience leading complex, multi‑regional networks and transformation initiatives.
- Proven track record in global cost and value optimization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Willingness to travel internationally.
