Currently, we have an opening for a Summer Student – Demand Planning. In this role, you will support the Demand Planning team by assisting with data‑intensive, repetitive, and administrative tasks. This position is designed to improve efficiency in standard reporting and data consolidation, while providing you with hands-on exposure to demand planning and supply chain operations within a global organization.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the Demand Planning team with standard reporting and recurring data extracts.
  • Assist with data consolidation from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Help build and maintain Excel-based templates to improve efficiency and standardization of reports.
  • Perform data validation, clean-up, and reconciliation to support planning accuracy.
  • Provide general analytical and administrative support to the Demand Planning team as required.

What you will bring along:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIFS), pivot tables, data filtering, and basic data analysis.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and repetitive data-oriented tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standardized processes.
  • Ability to organize, consolidate, and present data clearly.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Asset’s:

  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, or other reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Interest in demand planning, supply chain, or data analytics.
  • Experience improving or automating manual Excel-based processes.

Environmental Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to Sandvik’s Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
  • Attend related training sessions and wear all mandatory PPE as required when visiting Sandvik facilities.
