Sandvik Mining and Construction DRC is a Sales Unit based in Lubumbashi within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a Business Area and a leading supplier of equipment, tools, services, and support for the mining industry. Your mission
Perform essential warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of materials, from receipt to dispatch, to support Sandvik DRC's operations.
Job Responsibilities:*
* Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing lists.
* Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations, maintaining organised inventory and adhering to storage procedures.
* Pick and pack orders according to picking lists, ensuring correct items, quantities, and proper packaging for shipment.
* Prepare shipments, including labelling, documentation, and loading onto transport vehicles, following established procedures.
* Operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
* Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
* Report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
* Assist in other warehouse tasks as required, supporting the overall logistical flow of materials.
Your profile
We are looking for a Congolese (DRC) citizen with a Certificate/ Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, a comprehensive background in a similar role within Logistics, and experience in a customer service role.
To be successful in the role, you need a good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
As we act in a global context, you are good in both English and French, writing and speaking, and computer literacy and ERP knowledge are advantageous.
