About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Global Account Manager to join our team, reporting to the VP Global Accounts. This role is responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth, leading value-based sales initiatives, and building strong, long-term customer partnerships.

To succeed in this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business, embed yourself within their operations, and identify opportunities where Sandvik can add value and support their success. You will evaluate Sandvik’s current position within key accounts, uncover growth opportunities, and work with account teams to develop and deliver strategic solutions that meet customer needs.

As a trusted representative of Sandvik, you will foster strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and alignment across the business to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

This role involves regular international travel across multiple regions where the customer operates, working closely with local account teams and key customer stakeholders. While this is a full-time position, Sandvik offers flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a detailed plan engaging with internal stakeholders to drive future business growth and co-create long-term value within the relationship.

  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective engagement across all levels to ensure that identified value is captured.

  • Ensure customer stakeholders understand the value delivered by Sandvik's offerings and how it applies to their specific needs.

  • Monitor performance against plan expectations and take decisive action to adjust as necessary.

About you

As an experienced business professional, you excel in a global and collaborative environment, bringing strong commercial insight, analytical thinking, and strategic planning skills to drive business growth and increase market share. You have a proven ability to lead and develop teams, implement effective account management strategies, and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders across diverse cultures and regions.

You are a confident communicator who can influence, collaborate, and engage effectively at all levels of an organisation. With a strong customer focus, you are driven to deliver results, achieve business objectives, and create long-term value for customers.

You are adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a matrix organisation, with the flexibility to travel internationally as required. Given the global nature of the role, excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
