Job Summary

Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Rock Tools Sales and Service Representative based in Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur.

This position is responsible for driving sales growth and providing technical support for Rock Tools products and services within the assigned territory. The role focuses on developing strong customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, delivering product expertise, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective sales and aftersales support.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell Tools & Consumables in a geographical area.

  • Be part of Account team and customer interactions

  • Assess customers’ equipment performance and reliability via tools availability and service effectiveness to ultimately reduce operational costs for the Customer.

  • Develop and manage the sales and service plan for designated accounts or territory.

  • Develop customer relationships that ensure customers remain loyal to Sandvik’ brands.

  • Liaise between customers and Sandvik to ensure all warranty claims are settled in a timely fashion and are fast tracked as possible.

  • Assess technical issues with all Sandvik products, and prepare/submit quotations for small to medium expenditure for the Account Manager

  • Collecting and sharing relevant commercial and market information with product and sales management.

  • Consistently leverage the company's CRM system to capture customer interactions, manage sales activities, update opportunity pipelines, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.

  • Drawing up annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly plans and prioritizing activities to achieve objectives.

  • Coaching and guiding less experienced for operation field service when necessary.

  • Providing customer training on new products, applications and best practices to strengthen customer competencies and promote product adoption.

  • Travel to customer sites and partner with customers to provide solutions with respect to aftermarket Tools & Consumables.

  • Coordinate product trials and testing as required to further expand the business value of “Premium Product - Premium Service - Competitive Price”.

  • Monitor tools usage patterns and liaise with Inventory Controllers to ensure appropriate stock levels and stocked items.

  • Achieve budgeted revenue.

  • Ensure all accounts are operating within Sandvik trading terms.

  • Anticipating and understanding customer needs and translating them into our product offerings to achieve maximum customer value and profitability.

  • Follow up on sales leads; visiting strategically important customers; inventory of customer needs; proposing appropriate solutions; negotiate within defined powers; and closing orders to achieve revenue targets.

  • Conduct monthly reviews of account status, including but not limited to DSO and revenue.

COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE

  • As the matrix organization you will be collaborating with many people within Sandvik in both global and SEA regions, including cross division interaction between Part, service,logistic and equipment, internal collaboration Rock Tools sales and Operation Field Service , active communicated to Rock tools application engineer who support SEA. Direct report to Rock Tools Sales Manager and indirectly to Territory Manager

  • Some case will involve communication with Business Line Managers and SEA Rock Tools Sales Manager

  • Ensure effective communication of EHS priorities and expectations to all employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate exemplary EHS behavior and ensure the organization complies with Sandvik global EHS Policy, ISO 14001/45001, and SMKP requirements.

  • Empower all employees to stop and report any work that appears unsafe or could cause harm, without fear of retaliation.

PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY

  • Field - Any environment (Location Customer Sites / Workshops).

  • Willing to travel globally within Sandvik area and/or from site to site within country of Indonesia.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Over 4 years of experience in sales and support, preferably have experience in rock tools business,

  • Have drilling tools experience in knowledge with different applications

  • Intermediate English proficiency (CEFR Level B1).

  • Able to drive a vehicle and have valid police driving license
