We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control/Quality Assurance Professional to join our team.

Position Overview

The Quality Control/Quality Assurance Professional role plays a critical part in ensuring product and process excellence by driving compliance, continuous improvement, and a strong quality culture across the organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and experienced in manufacturing quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and perform ongoing reviews of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure process stability and capability.
  • Audit products and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with applicable ISO requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Support and promote 5S, Lean, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Document, communicate, and facilitate troubleshooting of quality-related issues.
  • Validate customer claims, prepare reports, and communicate findings internally.
  • Collaborate closely with other QA team members to ensure all daily QA activities are completed on time and at a high level of quality.
  • Develop and improve quality processes by evaluating existing methods, tools, and best practices.
  • Create, update, and maintain procedures, workflows, and work instructions, sharing best practices to strengthen the quality culture.
  • Conduct daily QA touch-base meetings, tracking and reviewing established KPIs.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure processes and procedures meet quality standards; educate and support others on complex quality topics.
  • Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and lead corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and implement ongoing training programs for the QA team.
  • Provide department-specific orientation and training for new hires as needed.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Plan and develop testing efforts, including test plans and test cases for larger-scale projects; document and communicate results to team members and management.
  • Coordinate or perform calibration of measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Report on global KPIs as required.
  • Ensure all activities comply with the Seco Code of Conduct, the Niagara Cutter Handbook, and the Niagara Cutter Management System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing quality or quality assurance role.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards, SPC, auditing techniques, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to develop procedures, training materials, and quality documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with production and support teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.
