About the Role

Based at Heatherbrae and reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader - Electrical, the Maintenance Electrician is responsible for delivering both planned and reactive electrical maintenance to support reliable plant operations. The role focuses on fault finding, PLC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment performance, while working closely with production teams to meet safety, quality and output targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform planned and breakdown electrical maintenance across site equipment
  • Conduct fault finding, repairs and diagnostics on plant and machinery
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC systems and industrial control equipment
  • Complete preventative maintenance and inspections in line with schedules
  • Record maintenance activities and faults in the MEX system
  • Respond to breakdowns and production requests in a timely manner
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve OEE
  • Collaborate with production teams to maintain quality and output targets
  • Support planning and prioritisation of maintenance tasks

About You

You bring a strong safety-first mindset and a genuine commitment to maintaining reliable, high-performing equipment in a manufacturing environment. With a recognised electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence, you have proven experience in fault finding, preventative maintenance and supporting production outcomes, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet operational targets. Your clear communication, attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures are complemented by a proactive approach to identifying improvements, resolving issues and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
