Currently, we have an opening for a Planning Manager. This role is responsible for the development and coordination of an effective production plan that reflects the needs of manufacturing, inventory, shipping, receiving, and sales.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory control while supporting planning and scheduling functions to meet business goals and customer delivery expectations.

What you will be doing

• Develop and maintain the master production schedule for Canadian factories
• Monitor production flow against schedule and initiate corrective actions as needed
• Liaise between sales, purchasing, and production to ensure delivery dates and project timelines are met
• Distribute Canadian sales orders and determine optimal build locations based on capacity, customer location, and material utilization
• Monitor inventory levels, investigate discrepancies, and manage inventory adjustments in partnership with Finance
• Manage remote site inventory levels and subcontract shipments, purchase orders, and communications
• Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings
• Provide regular (weekly, monthly, yearly) reports to the Operations Manager and senior leadership
• Communicate future raw material requirements to procurement
• Maintain accurate master scheduling data and enforce adherence to time fences
• Coordinate and lead year-end inventory counts and manage ongoing cycle count reporting
• Work with operations to establish safety stock levels and capacity constraint strategies
• Develop initiatives to improve inventory turns and reduce excess/obsolete inventory (OSMI)
• Ensure lead times are accurately quoted and achieved to support customer delivery commitments
• Act as backup for Production Planner (East)
• Maintain professionalism with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned to support business needs

What you will bring along

• Post-secondary education in operations management, supply chain, or a related field (asset)
• 3–5 years of experience in scheduling, production planning, or inventory management
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Navision or ERP systems (asset)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities
• Self-directed, proactive, and able to work independently
• Professionalism and strong attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Manufacturing industry experience considered an asset
• Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
