As a Machine Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining furnace equipment used in coating production processes. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure products meet specifications, production schedules are achieved, and safety standards are maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and monitor furnace equipment according to established procedures and production requirements.
  • Load and unload materials while ensuring proper handling and product traceability.
  • Monitor furnace temperatures, cycle times, and process parameters to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or process deviations.
  • Complete production records, process documentation, and quality checks accurately.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve operational goals.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE:

  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure compliance with the ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the shop/assigned area.
  • Adhere to all company rules and safety policies.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a mechanical or industrial environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • May perform other duties as required.
  • Shift: Work Hours: 2nd (3:00PM to 11:15PM)
  • This position requires current authorization to work in the United States. Sandvik cannot provide employment-based visa sponsorship for this role, now or in the future. This role is based on site in Westminster, SC. Remote or international work arrangements are not available.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
