About the Opportunity

As Operations Manager – Rock Tools (Surface), you will lead our Contract Operations team across Western Australia, driving safe, efficient and high-performing service delivery. You’ll take ownership of contract performance, ensuring financial targets and KPIs are achieved while maintaining strong, trusted relationships with our customers. Working closely with key business units, you will ensure our operations consistently demonstrate the value of Sandvik’s products and services. Safety, operational excellence and collaboration will be at the core of everything you do. This role requires regular travel to customer mine sites, along with occasional interstate and international travel

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Contract Operations team, ensuring strong contract governance, performance and effective controls.
  • Manage all purchasing activities within Contract Operations, ensuring full compliance with Sandvik’s Procurement Policy and standards.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance contract management and administration processes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Business Improvement, Sales Support & Development, EHS and Sales, to support contract tenders and successful mobilisation.
  • Work closely with the Rock Tools Product & Applications team to optimise product performance through technical support, trials, training and warranty management.
  • Partner with the EHS Manager to embed safety initiatives, deliver training, and meet customer-specific compliance requirements.
  • Represent Sandvik in customer review meetings, providing clear insights, performance updates and operational recommendations.

About you

  • Strong knowledge of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Experience in contract management, continuous improvement, or customer relationship management.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders to drive results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
  • A strong communicator and strategic planner with excellent business analysis skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes.
  • Experience in the mining, construction, or engineering industries is highly desirable.
  • Previous leadership experience managing high-performing teams is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI is desirable.
