We are currently seeking an experienced Pulling/Marking & Cleaning Line Operator to join our team.
Position Overview
The Pulling/Marking Operator & Cleaning Line is responsible for operating all machinery related to marking and the cleaning line. This role requires strong attention to detail, perform machine maintenance, and follow/complete necessary production paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate all machinery related to marking (etching) and cleaning lines according to established specifications and controls
- Read and follow production schedules, work orders, routings, and sequences
- Handle materials, including dispatching required blanks and materials to manufacturing orders
- Monitor machine operations by observing movement of parts, gauges, dials, and machine sounds to identify potential issues
- Troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments to resolve setup or operational problems
- Interpret drawings and item attributes to ensure correct processing
- Perform in-process inspections per established inspection requirements and protocols
- Maintain product specifications using appropriate inspection tools and equipment
- Perform routine operator maintenance as required
- Demonstrate proper knowledge and use of required tooling
- Accurately complete all job-related documentation and shop-floor data collection
- Assist with training and mentoring additional employees
- Perform all duties necessary to successfully operate and maintain Cleaning Line(s)
- Carry out other related duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) coursework preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Basic mathematical skills (algebra, geometry, trigonometry preferred)
- Critical thinking and Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) skills
- Job-specific tooling knowledge
- Ability to use hand trucks and material-handling equipment
- Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and related accessories
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong finger dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motions
- Ability to work safely around machine tools with operating parts
