Manufacturing Planner
Buffalo Tungsten is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high purity tungsten powder. We have a strong commitment to quality assurance, competitive pricing, and short lead times. We have over three decades of experience and maintain a sole focus on producing powdered tungsten materials through a hydrogen reduction process. We have supplied customers in over 40 countries throughout the world. In addition to pure tungsten powder, we also produce tungsten carbide powder and tungsten carbide based thermal spray powders. Buffalo Tungsten is part of Sandvik group and organizationally belongs to the Powder Solutions division within the business area Sandvik Machining.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The Manufacturing Planner's role includes creating production schedules and organizing workflows within departments, ensuring each operation is sequenced and timed appropriately. Ensure efficient and accurate accounting and storage of raw material, work in progress, and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities
Always adheres to established safety policies and procedures
Model effective leadership, teamwork, and collaboration in a fair and transparent way
Plan, schedule and coordinate production of products according to customer specifications
Work closely with Production Manager to plan resources and jobs efficiently
Monitor and expedite operations that can delay production schedules
Alter production schedules and plans as needed to maintain efficiency and quality
Evaluate raw materials and needed equipment to ensure all required inputs are available
Report on production status and/or issues to Planning Manager
Identify methods and processes to improve production efficiency/productivity
Coordinates and follows up on manufacturing workflows
Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes
Maintain accurate and efficient inventory management practices for raw materials, finished goods, and constituents and report to Business Controlling
Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies as they arise
Support business controlling with monthly inventory reconciliation
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and/or associate’s degree preferred
Prior Planning & Inventory Control experience has been your focus
Experience with SAP preferred
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

Pay is dependent on experience with starting pay rate of $31 - $35/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
