Workshop Production Supervisor

About the Opportunity

This role is well suited to a people‑focused leader who enjoys working alongside their team, supporting capability development and contributing to continuous improvement - while remaining technically connected to the work.
As Workshop Production Supervisor, you’ll lead day‑to‑day workshop activities, support a skilled and committed team, and collaborate closely with Service Administrators, Planners and fellow Supervisors to deliver high‑quality outcomes for our customers.
Based in Kalgoorlie on an 8/6 residential roster, this role offers stability, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in a supportive and well‑established mining services operation.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily workshop operations with a strong emphasis on safety, wellbeing and teamwork
Support, mentor and develop tradespeople, building capability and confidence within the team
Coordinate maintenance, repairs and fault‑finding on heavy mining equipment in line with customer and site requirements
Conduct job safety audits and customer machine inspections
Coordinate pre‑delivery inspections and commissioning of new equipment
Monitor jobs to ensure work is delivered on time, within scope and aligned with cost expectations
Support warranty claims and technical documentation where required
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, standard work practices and effective workshop planning
About you
You’re an approachable, organised and inclusive leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with operational delivery. You’re comfortable communicating clearly, making practical decisions and supporting your team in a fast‑paced environment.

Ideally, you’ll bring:
Experience in a supervisory or leading‑hand role within mining, automotive or heavy equipment environments (or readiness to step into your first formal supervisory role)
A relevant trade qualification with solid post‑trade experience
Exposure to heavy equipment maintenance or mobile plant environments (Sandvik exposure is advantageous but not essential)
A good understanding of safe systems of work and maintenance processes
A collaborative, respectful leadership style with strong communication skills
Good planning, time management and problem‑solving capability
Confidence using Microsoft 365 and workplace systems
