Digital Product Security Lead

Do you want to shape how security is built into digital and AI-enabled products at scale? In this role, you drive the standards and guardrails that help global product teams innovate securely – without slowing development.

Why Sandvik?
Be part of a global industrial environment where security is a strategic enabler for digital transformation and long‑term business success. You contribute in a role with real influence, close to both technology and decision-making. Here, you:

  • Work in a collaborative and forward‑thinking security organization with strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Make a tangible impact by protecting customer trust, intellectual property, and regulatory alignment
  • Contribute to a growing digital landscape where your expertise helps strengthen resilience across products and teams

About the job

As a Digital Product Security Lead, you act as the lead for digital product and AI‑related security in Business Area Machining. You define how product security is designed and governed, while product organizations remain accountable for execution and risk decisions. The role is both an expert and leadership position with strong visibility across product organizations, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and maintain Machining-wide product security standards and practices aligned with information security polices
  • Ensure security is embedded across the secure development lifecycle, including threat modeling, secure architecture, and security testing
  • Act as a primary security advisor to product owners, architects, and engineering teams
  • Coordinate vulnerability management, security assessments, and remediation follow-up
  • Support product-related incident response and vulnerability disclosure processes
  • Provide risk visibility and reporting to Machining security and governance forums

Location and flexibility

The position is based in Sandviken or Stockholm, World Trade Center and offers a partly remote work setup.

Your profile

You combine deep product security expertise with the ability to influence in a complex, decentralized environment. You’ve built a strong foundation in secure software development and enjoy working closely with product and engineering teams.

We see that you also bring:

  • Solid experience in application and/or product security, secure software development, and DevSecOps practices
  • Hands-on experience with threat modeling, secure architecture, vulnerability management, and security testing
  • Experience working with cloud-based and API-driven architectures (IaaS, PaaS, serverless)
  • Strong understanding of security-relevant regulations and standards for digital products
  • Fluency in English, as you collaborate with teams across the globe

You translate technical security risks into clear business and product impact, enabling informed decisions. You’re communicative and persistent, able to engage both leaders and developers, and you enjoy collaborating to move security forward—even through change.
