Vice President Midmarket
Within Business Area Mining, you lead LGMRT’s joint venture business with full P&L responsibility in a high-impact strategic leadership role. This is a newly established, position that shapes Sandvik’s global midmarket offering and operating model across the Surface Drilling, Underground Drilling, and Load & Haul in China and internationally.
About the job
You lead the transformation of LGMRT from a strong Chinese midmarket OEM into an international second tier offering for Sandvik. You drive business, strategy, and operating model development while building a robust and scalable operating model for both equipment and aftermarket through a dedicated dealer network. Identifying opportunities with suppliers and technology partners across the equipment divisions is part of your job, along with monitoring market dynamics, competitive developments, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs.
You report to the Surface Drilling Division President
Job responsibilities
Have full P&L responsibility for the LGMRT business across three product lines.
Lead and develop the LGMRT organization with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Execute and further enhance the strategy and operating model of LGMRT.
Drive continuous improvement across the business.
Develop differentiated international go-to-market channels and strengthen positioning versus Sandvik’s premium offering.
Monitor market, technology, competitors, and supplier developments.
Coordination in global matrix organisation
Location
The role is based in China and requires frequent presence in the Jinan factory. Frequent domestic and international travel is also part of the role.
Your profile
You bring extensive leadership experience from the mining and/or infrastructure equipment industry, together with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in business growth, strategy, operating model, and process development. You’re comfortable working across Chinese and Western business cultures and in matrix organizations. You hold a degree in Engineering or Economics; additional qualifications are an advantage, and communicate fluently in English and Chinese, verbally and in writing.
