The Role
To conduct extensive stock control procedures monthly with standard stock checks at all allocated branches and perform the full Internal Audit functions.
The internal auditor will be tasked with assessing how well the company is managing risk. Working as part of the in-house finance team, they use a systematic methodology to explore how well internal processes are working and whether company risk and operations could be improved in the stock processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate stock counts audits in conjunction with the Warehouse Operator or Controller at the various sites as planned.
- Reconcile and report back on the findings of the stock counts performed and propose management action plans to address root causes for variances.
- Ensure that all stock variances are approved by management and updated timeously in the ERP system.
- Support business on stock returns from various sites to the main warehouse.
- Make recommendations for changes to stock control processes and stock control management to minimize risk of stock loss / write off.
- Prepare reports for management on the results of the audits and provide recommendations on improvement on both cycle and audit counts.
- Assure quality communication with all stakeholders.
- Regular interaction with stakeholders to ensure that identified risks are minimized.

- Logistics process support progress report
- Weekly cycle count progress report
- Weekly frozen inventory report
- Weekly stock adjustment ratio report
Profile Required
- 3 - 5 years (preferably in stock control/internal audit).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Advanced accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
- Stock Control experience.
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws and regulations.
- Prior exposure to ERP, WMS, TMS and EHS management systems (experience with Aurora and DI is beneficial)
- National Diploma/ Degree (NQF 6) in Accounting or Internal Audit.
