Currently, we have an opening for a Finance and Administration Manager. In this role, you will play important part in driving financial excellence and operational efficiency across the business. You will lead and develop a high-performing finance team, oversee core finance streams AP, AR, banking, taxes, reconciliation, month-end closing and administration. This role offers significant exposure to cross-functional projects, people development and strategic initiatives.

What you will be doing
- Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, treasury, and cash management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and review of reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Manage and optimize working capital, including cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable collections, and accounts payable optimization.
- Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting and analysis to management and business units.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and other business functions to drive cost control, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Statistics Canada, auditors, and other external bodies.
- Lead and oversee activities related to the administration of accounting, financial, and material resources, ensuring alignment with company policies and quality standards, and providing effective support across the organization.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial and business information.
- Monitor bad-debt and obsolescence provisions in compliance with company policies.
- Oversee reconciliation of general ledger accounts and support investigations related to financial discrepancies, particularly in manufacturing activities.
- Manage project deadlines and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Promote cross-training, knowledge sharing, and succession planning within the team.
- Champion process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, automation, and quality across finance operations.
- Lead or participate in special projects, such as ERP implementations and business integrations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate reporting requirements.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Perform other related duties as required to support business needs.
- Support sound financial decision-making by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures; clarify roles and responsibilities; motivate and develop employees; delegate effectively; recognize contributions; and foster collaboration.
What will you bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, a CPA designation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5–7 years of experience in an accounting role
- Master’s degree is considered an asset
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Knowledge of production costing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and mid-level ERP systems (e.g., MS Navision)
- Advanced Excel skills are an asset (candidates may be asked to provide sample work to demonstrate proficiency)
- Reliable and accurate, with a high level of accountability
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner
