About the job

You’re an experienced financial that leads the process of financially defining, executing and delivering on the financial ambitions for Division Rock Tools. As a key member of the management team, you act as a strategic financial partner to the division leadership. You lead the finance organization in a global matrix setup, ensuring strong execution, transparency and confidence in financial decision‑making while contributing to the division’s strategic direction.

Job responsibilities

In this role, you drive financial leadership with a clear business focus:

  • Own end‑to‑end financial management, governance and compliance for the division
  • Create strong visibility and control of product cost drivers and variances, enabling clear ownership of COGS and stock valuation
  • Strengthen business controlling to support fact‑based, business value‑driven decisions across the organization
  • Provide relevant financial tools and insights that enable leaders at all levels to take the right business decisions
  • Drive Performance Excellence by linking financial outcomes to operational and strategic priorities
  • Actively contribute to M&A activities, investments and major change initiatives
  • Play a key role in the continuous improvement, stability and business value of the ERP landscape, with a strong focus on SAP, core financial processes, proper automated Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Lead, develop and engage a global finance community in a complex matrix organization
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across Sandvik to ensure alignment, transparency and trust primarily with Mining Business Area Financial team

Location and flexibility

The location for this role is in Sandviken, Sweden. This is also where the rest of the division management team is located. Global travel is part of the assignment.

Your profile

You bring extensive experience from senior finance roles with strategic responsibility, ideally from the manufacturing industry. Business controlling is a natural part of your toolkit, and you’re comfortable operating in a global or regional organization with an international footprint and matrix structure. You’re fluent in English, verbally and in writing.

Your background includes:

  • Strong financial expertise, including business controlling, with clear ownership of COGS and stock valuation
  • SAP experience—bringing better visibility and stability to SAP and core financial processes
  • Experience from the manufacturing industry in a global or regional business with a broad operational footprint
  • Proven ability to lead in a complex matrix organization, managing stakeholders across functions and geographies
  • Leadership roles in complex, performance‑driven environments
  • Acting as a strategic partner to senior business leaders
