Accounts Receivable Officer

About the Opportunity

Our Accounts Receivable Team is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join the Finance Shared Services (FSS) team based in Milton. With full ownership of your own ledger, you will partner with customers to manage and settle accounts, while building strong relationships that support a best-in-class customer experience across Sandvik.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business with customer credit matters, including credit limits and payment terms
  • Assess credit risk and recommend practical solutions to minimise exposure
  • Manage claims, disputes and credit notes, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Process inbound payments and reconcile customer accounts accurately
  • Proactively liaise with customers to ensure payments are made in line with agreed terms
  • Monitor accounts on credit hold and partner with the business to progress appropriate actions, including legal escalation where required
  • Coordinate communication between customers and internal stakeholders across Sandvik
  • Support intercompany reconciliations
  • Ensure internal controls are in place, maintained, and operating effectively
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of AR processes, policies, and authorisation frameworks
  • Provide accurate and timely information to support procedures and documentation (e.g. Procedures Manual)
  • Support Business Areas and Country Finance teams across Accounts Receivable processes

About you

You will bring 3+ years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable role, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills. You thrive in a high-volume environment and have the ability to problem solve while managing your workload with speed and accuracy. You have a strong customer service mindset and build positive working relationships across a range of stakeholders. You are a proactive team player who contributes positively to the team environment, and you are motivated to achieve results, consistently working towards team goals with enthusiasm and determination.
