Senior Design Engineer
Location: Sunshine (Victoria)

Reports to: Lead Design Engineer
Working rights: You must be able to secure valid work rights for employment in Australia.

About the role:
The position is responsible for completion of engineering requests and projects within targeted time, within budget and specified quality. This includes engineering design, development and documentation for all engineering aspects of the project, Your main duties will include:
Manage Production of drawings from supplied information such as engineering requests, client specifications, design calculation sheets and supplier data sheets
Identification of potential problems/issues and finding solutions with Lead Design Engineer & Engineering Manager to achieve continuous improvement.
Assist customers and sales engineers with technical and sales queries
Assist Screening Media manufacturing process as required
Support Product Development engineering projects by involving in design calculations, detailed drawings, manufacturing support
Develop specifications and perform testing for Product Development engineering projects
Management of overall engineering projects
When required support management through leadership of the team, supervision of daily tasks and liaising with stakeholders.
Travel to customer sites and other office locations as required.

A little about you:
While we offer training and development, we are looking for someone with the following skills to ensure you are set up for success:
Relevant Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering degree from a tertiary institution recognized and/or accredited by Engineers Australia
Preferable to be admitted as a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia and register on NER
5-10 years of Professional Experience with 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection moulding
Demonstrated high level of skills in design and drawings using AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D
In depth knowledge in ERP system, SAP would be advantageous
Good computer skills, confident user in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience in continuous improvement in an engineering environment desirable
Meticulous attention to detail.
Extensive experience with Engineering processes
Strong focus on delivery of pre-agreed milestones and continuous improvement
Possess the ability to meet deadlines in a high workload environment
Can do attitude with the ability to multitask
