Sandvik made it to the 2019 Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Sandvik has once again been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. It is considered one of the most respected global sustainability indices in which only the top 10% sustainable companies in each respective industry are included.
“Sandvik’s result is an outcome of the great work being done by our organization to make sustainability part of our normal business, including environmental, social and economic aspects. This leads to our customers becoming more productive, safe and cost-efficient with reduced environmental impact”, says Ulrika Wedberg, head of sustainable business at Sandvik.
“This year we have introduced four 2030 sustainability goals to even further embed sustainability into our operations, addressing a circular society, carbon emissions, zero harm to people and fair play”.
Sandvik scored better than 94 percent of the companies assessed in its industry and increased its score compared to last year.
