Another gold for Team Hasselborg
The Swedish curling team, Team Hasselborg, won another gold when they became European Champions on November 24th. It was their third successive appearance in the European final, but this was the first time they could return home with gold instead of silver medals.
Since August this year Sandvik is a proud partner of the young ambitious team, enabling them to make a full-time effort over the coming years. When the Sandvik sponsorship was communicated Sara McManus, who until recently worked within Sandvik´s HR-organization, told the press that the team wants to put curling on the map and show that it isn´t a sport that only takes place every fourth year.
A target that is about to be reached for the ruling Olympic Champions. Besides the European Championship title, Team Hasselborg has also won two straight Grand Slam of Curling titles this autumn.
We congratulate the team, consisting of Anna Hasselborg, Agnes Knochenhauer, Sofia Mabergs and Sara McManus, and are looking forward to supporting them on their hunt for more gold medals.
