In a world where speed to market is becoming increasingly critical, new ways of working and collaboration are essential to achieve success. Today, business area Sandvik Materials Technology launches a portal for open innovation, where partners are invited to solve challenging problems.
Innovation is at the heart of Sandvik and defined as one of its core values. The central idea behind open innovation is that, in a world of widely distributed knowledge, companies cannot afford to rely solely on their own research. They should also benefit from external knowledge by integrating for example, external inventors, research teams, companies and potential partners in their own development process.
