Voest-Alpine Bergtechnik receives large order in Germany
Voest-Alpine Bergtechnik, through its subsidiary Alpine Westfalia Germany, has received a major order for the coal mines of the German coal mining giant DSK.
The value of this order amounts to € 6.9 mio.
The orders involve three completely new AM 105 machines which are adopted to the German market. The machines will be delivered during 2002 to the German mines. In the last few years the ICUTROC technology was jointly developed between Sandvik, VAB, DSK, research institutes, universities and some selected customers in order to take mechanical cutting into hard rock conditions. The machines will go to the mines of Prosper-Haniel, Walsum and Warndt-Luisenthal. Including this order a total of 10 AM 105 are operating in the German mining industry.
