Six major orders for Sandvik's improved resin granulation system
The announcement of a number of enhancements to Sandvik's double belt resin granulation system has resulted in six major orders being secured from customers in Europe and Asia.
Four of these, including one for India's largest resin producer and three for customers in France, will be used for the granulation of tall oil resin. The fifth, produced at Sandvik's new workshop in Pudong/China for a local customer, will be used for processing polyester resin; and the sixth will be supplied to a major manufacturer of silicon resin in Germany.
Sandvik's steel belt-based systems are a well established solution to solidification processes; as well as the company's single and double belt flaking systems, there are more than 150 solidification systems in use worldwide for different types of resin, mainly epoxy, polyester, polyamid, tall oil and hydrocarbon resins.
