Utility Driver

UTILITY DRIVER – MWANZA, TANZANIA

We are looking for a qualified and safety-conscious Driver to join our team in Mwanza. The successful candidate will provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for employees, visitors, materials, and company assets while ensuring compliance with Company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport employees, visitors, and authorized passengers to designated destinations.
• Deliver and collect company documents, materials, and equipment as required.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
• Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.
• Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations and company driving procedures.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and maintenance records.
• Safeguard company vehicles, equipment, and transported assets.
• Promote and support Sandvik's Zero Harm safety culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Secondary School Certificate (Form IV) or equivalent.
• Valid Tanzanian Driving License appropriate for the assigned vehicle category (Class C, C1,2,3 & E).
• Minimum of three (3) years' driving experience in a corporate, mining, logistics, or industrial environment.
• Defensive Driving Certificate will be an added advantage.
• First Aid certification will be an added advantage.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic offenses.

• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance knowledge.
