Head of Parts and Services - Rock Processing

Business area Rock Processing is a global leading supplier of equipment, tools, parts, service and solutions for processing rock and minerals in the mining and construction industries. The focus lies on bringing value to customers through high-performing products that increase productivity and safety.

Our rock and mineral processing equipment is engineered for maximum productivity. We offer advanced, proven solutions for any size-reduction and classification challenges - whether it is stationary or mobile.

This role can be in USA or Canada close to an airport hub (Atlanta, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, Montreal, Toronto are preferred locations).

Lead the North America Parts & Services Rock Processing business, driving profitable growth while maximizing the value delivered to customers across the equipment lifecycle. You will execute strategy, expand aftermarket revenues (service contracts, upgrades, rebuilds, digital solutions), and implement value-based selling approaches that directly improve customer performance, uptime, and costs.

You will build and scale service capabilities, standardize operations, and drive continuous improvement through strong KPIs and digital tools. In close collaboration with sales, product lines, and distribution partners, you will strengthen commercial execution and market penetration while positioning Sandvik Rock Processing as a trusted lifecycle partner in the USA and Canada.

A core focus of the role is deep customer engagement, understanding their operations and delivering differentiated solutions that create measurable value. You will also lead and develop a high-performing, customer-centric organization, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth and Strategy

· Execute the North America Parts & Services strategy aligned with the Sales Area and Rock Processing objectives

· Define and lead transformation initiatives to strengthen lifecycle value propositions and aftermarket growth

· Identify and develop new business opportunities in service contracts, upgrades, rebuilds, and digital services

· Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)-based value selling approaches

· Contribute to Sales Area management planning, forecasts, and strategic initiatives

Commercial Management

· Own full P&L responsibility for Parts & Services, including revenue, margins, and cost structure

· Drive growth in parts, wear parts, and service sales across direct and dealer channels

· Develop and execute pricing strategies and commercial models consistent across the region

· Build strong customer value propositions and enhance market penetration of aftermarket offerings

· Collaborate closely with Sales and Account Management, Product and Business Lines, and Distribution channels

Service Operations and Capability Development

· Build and scale field service, workshop, and technical support capabilities across North America

· Standardize service delivery processes, tools, and operating models across all branches

· Develop structured service offerings including inspections, maintenance programs, and long-term service agreements

· Drive operational excellence initiatives to improve uptime, utilization, and service performance

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

· Establish KPIs and performance management systems for the P&S business

· Lead service performance improvement programs and turnaround initiatives

· Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

· Implement digital tools, reporting systems, and analytics to improve visibility and decision-making

· Drive continuous improvement through audits, benchmarking, and best practice implementation

People Management and Development

· Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing P&S organization across service, parts, and technical teams

· Recruit, retain, and develop talent to support business growth

· Influence and lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Product Lines, and Service Operations

· Establish a strong performance-driven, customer-centric culture

Customer Engagement and Market Development

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers

· Gain deep understanding of customer operations and business drivers

· Position Sandvik Rock Processing as a lifecycle partner through differentiated service offerings

· Capture market intelligence and provide feedback to Product and Business Line Management and global teams

Safety and Environment

· Ensure full compliance with Sandvik safety policies and applicable regulations

· Promote a strong safety culture across service operations and customer interactions

· Identify and mitigate operational and service-related risks

Personal Leadership

· Act in accordance with Sandvik Values and Code of Conduct

· Demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and accountability

· Drive personal and organizational development

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or equivalent 4 years experience with +10 years of experience in mining, aggregates, or heavy equipment industries
  • Proven leadership experience and deep industry expertise in aftermarket services

Demonstrated success in:

  • Strategic planning and execution.
  • Building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Profit & Loss (P&L) ownership.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Customer and market knowledge.
  • Business development and growth strategy.
  • ​Experience leading multi-site or regional operations..

  • Proven safety and compliance leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA, and/or advanced degree in mining related technologies

Location: Any USA or Canada location close to an airport hub (Atlanta, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, Montreal, Toronto are preferred locations).

Travel Requirements / shift / hours: Travel 40-50% of the time domestically and internationally.

Compensation Range: $205,000 to $230,000, plus individual bonus

Work authorization

Must have the legal right to work in the United States or Canada on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship. With the exception of internal Sandvik employees.
