Vice President, Development & Product Management, Rotary Drilling Division

Shape the future of the Rotary Drilling Division’s product portfolio and technology roadmap. Business Area Mining is looking for an accomplished product and engineering leader who turns market needs and industry trends into innovative solutions that create lasting customer and business value.

Your mission
As Vice President, Development and Product Management, you lead the global function across R&D, product engineering, order-based engineering and product management. You define the strategic direction of the portfolio, guide investments in innovation and ensure alignment between the product roadmap and business objectives.

You’re a member of the Division Management Team and report to the Division President.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and implement the offering development process, from market segmentation and opportunity evaluation to commercialization.
  • Develop and execute the Rotary Drilling product roadmap in line with business strategy, customer needs and industry trends.
  • Lead the new product development and the complete product lifecycle, while integrating Automation, Electrification and Digitalization into the offering.
  • Own product profitability through cost-reduction initiatives, portfolio rationalization and improvements in quality and efficiency.
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with supply chain partners, engineering vendors and division management.
  • Build and retain a strong R&D and Product Management team that supports innovation, engagement and continuous improvement.

Location and flexibility
This position is based in Alachua, Florida, USA. Domestic and international travel of up to 25% is required.


Your profile
You’re an experienced leader with extensive progressive leadership experience in product development, product line management or both. Your background includes successfully launching products, leading large teams and driving strategic growth in complex technical environments.

Your background includes

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Strong experience in Automation, Electrification or Digitalization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, global teams and delivering complex technical projects on time and to the expected quality.
  • Fluency in English, together with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Expertise in rotary drilling applications and technologies is an advantage.
