Do you want to be part of shaping the success of complex business transactions at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and people? This is an opportunity to lead critical HR workstreams across mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and broader business transformation initiatives that drive organizational performance and long-term growth.

About the job

You lead HR due diligence, integration planning, and post-deal execution across mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. Working closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, you identify people-related risks and opportunities, translate insights into actionable priorities, and ensure successful integration outcomes. In addition, you may lead strategic projects focused on organizational transformation and business change. You report directly to the Vice President and Head of HR for Machining and work with multiple senior stakeholders across Machining and Sandvik.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead HR due diligence activities, assessing workforce, organizational structure, culture, rewards, employee relations, and people-related risks and opportunities.
  • Translate findings into recommendations, priorities, and integration plans aligned with transaction objectives.
  • Drive HR integration planning and execution, including organizational design, retention initiatives, change management, communication, and HR process integration.
  • Partner with senior business leaders and HR stakeholders as a trusted advisor during transactions and transformation programs.
  • Coordinate international and cross-functional HR workstreams together with M&A, Legal, Finance, IT, Communications, Compensation & Benefits, local HR teams, and external advisors.
  • Lead a network of HR M&A champions across Sandvik and develop suitable training, organize best practices sharing and develop Sandvik common processes, checklists and playbooks where that is needed.

Location

This role is preferably based in Stockholm, Sweden, while other locations may be considered for the right candidate. Global travel is a natural part of the job as the position involves international collaboration.

Your profile

A strong combination of strategic thinking and practical execution enables success in this position. You bring extensive experience from HR M&A environments and are comfortable navigating complex, international organizations while balancing advisory work with hands-on delivery.

Your background includes

  • Extensive experience in HR mergers, acquisitions, divestments, due diligence, and post-deal integration.
  • Deep knowledge of organizational design, compensation and benefits, talent management, employee relations, culture, and change management.
  • Proven leadership of complex cross-functional projects in international environments.
  • Experience working within global, matrixed, and decentralized organizations.
  • A relevant university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with fluent English skills.

Success in this role comes from combining sound judgment with a collaborative mindset. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly across all levels of an organization, and navigate ambiguity with confidence. With strong stakeholder management skills and business acumen, you create alignment, move initiatives forward, and keep focus on both people and business outcomes.
