About the Role

As a Wet Spray Painter within the coating shed at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions in Ballygawley, you will play a key role in applying protective and cosmetic finishes to our crushing and screening equipment. Working in a safety‑critical manufacturing environment, you will ensure painted components meet high standards for quality, durability, and appearance. Your contribution supports operational excellence and Sandvik’s purpose of advancing the world through engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare components for wet spray painting, including cleaning, masking, and surface preparation

  • Apply wet paint coatings using spray equipment in line with technical specifications and work instructions

  • Carry out touch‑up painting and rework as required to meet quality standards

  • Inspect painted components for finish quality, coverage, and defects

  • Maintain painting equipment and work areas in line with safety and environmental procedures

  • Comply fully with all Health & Safety, environmental (including COSHH), and Sandvik quality standards

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a wet spray painter or in an industrial paintshop environment

  • Knowledge of surface preparation and wet paint application techniques

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to follow technical instructions and specifications accurately

  • High awareness of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience painting components for heavy equipment or manufacturing applications

  • Familiarity with industrial paint systems and spray booth operations

  • Understanding of paint defects and corrective actions

  • Experience working within Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments

  • Forklift or overhead crane certification

Work Environment

  • On‑site coating shed and manufacturing environment in Ballygawley

  • Day shift, 40 hours per week

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm

  • Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
