Sandvik Ground Support | Heatherbrae, NSW

Build Your Accounting Career. Grow with a Global Industry Leader.

At Sandvik Ground Support, we're looking for an accounting professional who is eager to develop their career within a global organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative Finance team where you'll contribute to financial reporting, intercompany accounting and compliance activities that support the success of our Australian operations.

This is not your typical junior accounting role. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting functions, work alongside experienced finance professionals and develop both your technical and commercial skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Whether you're working towards professional accreditation or looking to expand your experience in a global business, this role offers the opportunity to learn, grow and make a meaningful contribution.

If you enjoy solving problems, working with financial data and contributing to business outcomes, this role offers an excellent foundation for a long-term career within a supportive and development-focused organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting of holding company transactions and monthly results.
  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and reporting activities across Australian entities.
  • Prepare and coordinate intercompany recharge requests and matching reports.
  • Support intercompany accounting activities through the Sandvik Invoicing Hub (SIH).
  • Assist with inventory in transit reconciliations and associated accounting entries.
  • Contribute to compliance reporting, including ABS surveys and Payment Times Reporting submissions.
  • Support finance projects and other accounting activities as required.

About You

You are a motivated and capable accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, building relationships and continuously developing your skills. You take pride in producing accurate work, thrive in a collaborative environment and are looking for an opportunity that offers both challenge and career growth.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or Business that satisfies the requirements for professional accounting membership.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Experience working with computerised accounting systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • An understanding of IFRS requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Highly regarded:

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to Navision ERP systems.

This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to broaden their accounting experience, gain exposure to a global organisation and establish a long-term career within a supportive and high-performing Finance team.
