Systems Engineer

Are you passionate about designing and implementing cutting-edge systems? We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, testing, and implementation of electrical systems in large battery packs for mining equipment. As a pivotal member of our team, you will contribute to harness design, electrical architecture, and the development of module and pack systems to meet rigorous industry and internal standards. Join us in creating robust, efficient, and tailored solutions for the challenging environments of mining applications.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

System Design Support:

  • Assist in developing system architectures for advanced battery and charger control systems.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to help define system requirements and specifications.

Algorithm Assistance:

  • Support the design and implementation of control algorithms for battery and charger systems.
  • Help conduct analysis and simulations to optimize control strategies for enhanced performance and efficiency.

Testing and Integration:

  • Support the integration of control systems into hardware platforms.
  • Assist in developing and executing testing protocols to verify system robustness and reliability.

Collaborative Efforts:

  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and firmware engineers, to achieve project goals.
  • Support technical documentation and contribute to the mentorship of peers.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining detailed documentation for system designs, algorithms, and testing procedures.
  • Contribute to regular progress reports for project stakeholders.
  • 3 plus years of professional experience in electrical system design, preferably in battery systems for automotive or heavy equipment.
  • Proven track record in harness design, sensor implementation, and electrical testing.

Education

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Salary Range: $91,100 - $113,850
