We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Sourcing Quality Engineer to join our newly established heavy machinery assembly facility in Seremban – Sendayan Techvalley, supporting underground load and haul equipment.

About the Division

The Load & Haul Division, the home of Sandvik loaders and trucks for underground mining business. Here we are safer, stronger, and smarter, as we like to say it. We have been the market leader in accelerating diesel and battery-electric equipment development, with sharpened priorities. We work in close co-operation with the sales areas within the Sandvik Mining Business Area, to provide the best possible service for our customers. Load & Haul home based in Turku, Finland. Additionally, we have operations in Camarillo, USA and Changzhou, China as well in Seremban, Malaysia.

Do we share the same goals?

In this position, your primary responsibility is to develop Country or Regional Supplier Base, improving supplier quality, cost and deliveries (QCD) apart from supporting operation for claim execution and root cause analysis. Besides optimization, training and implementation of SQE related processes and tools in alignment with development strategy. Actively communicate and collaborate with suppliers and internal Sandvik stakeholders.

Supplier development and quality assurance
Root cause analysis and quality action planning
Manufacturing process improvement
Implement and analyze Supplier Quality Index / KPIs within country / region
Collaborate, communicate and strategies sharing with key stakeholders
Supplier auditing and qualification
KPI monitoring and reporting
SAP S/4 Hana and ARIBA system proficiency
Teamcenter and sourcing database management
Knowledge of customs and LMW processes
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Experience in battery technology (preferred)

Your Profile – What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy machinery assembly or manufacturing
Expert of supplier quality engineer, sourcing development, continuous improvement
Strong communication and strategic thinking skills
Familiarity with LMW setup, SAP S/4 Hana, and ARIBA systems
Experience with battery technology is a plus
