About the job

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying customer prospects, evaluating business opportunities, and supporting the preparation of presentations, workshops, quotations, and initial outreach. You will act as a key link between customers and internal functions, helping to develop and communicate compelling value propositions for our Metal Powder product portfolio. Collaboration with sales colleagues, marketing teams, and business development professionals will be essential as you work to promote products, secure orders, and resolve customer issues.

You will conduct sales calls and customer visits, often alongside technical experts, targeting key accounts and high-potential leads, while also overseeing strategic customer projects. Maintaining and updating a central database with customer activity details will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring data quality standards are met. You will play a vital role in enhancing customers’ technical understanding of Additive Manufacturing processes and applications across various market segments.

Planning and prioritizing your activities to meet annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales targets will be expected. You will support customers by coordinating with internal technical and R&D teams on product testing and related initiatives, ultimately driving additional sales and expanding market share. You will also contribute to the development of the sales process, working with colleagues and senior management to gather and analyze data, compare applications, assess competitive positioning, and evaluate cost structures.

Your role will include proactively advancing our business intelligence capabilities and data collection methods to capture market insights and support fact-based decision-making at the senior management level. You will represent Sandvik at regional and global conferences, trade exhibitions, and industry events. Additionally, you will collaborate with regional agents, product managers, and the inside sales team to manage customer expectations and build a comprehensive market intelligence database, including competitor activity and emerging trends. A key part of your responsibilities will be to continuously improve customer satisfaction in your region through surveys and by assisting in complaint analysis.

The role is global, has flexible location and reports to Lead Regional Sales Manager.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with formal education in either Business Studies, Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Powder Metallurgy or similar, or equivalent experience gain through working within sales, business development or project management.

To be successful in this role, you should bring experience with a value-based sales approach and a proven track record in managing sales and business opportunities. You are expected to have worked effectively in a global environment and demonstrate strong execution capabilities, with a results-driven mindset and a clear focus on achieving success.

Fluency in written and spoken Business English is essential, along with proficiency in the local language or languages relevant to your region. You should possess excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and be comfortable building strong interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

A solid understanding of marketing strategies that support regional sales efforts is important.. Additionally, knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the sale of metal powders and Additive Manufactured components—such as export control regulations and classifications like DUAL USE or EAR—is highly desirable.

This role includes travelling up to 50 % so full Driving license and valid passport without visa restrictions are required.
