Your performance areas:
The Customer Value Specialist position is responsible for creating and promoting customer value plans and business development plans that promote Sandvik’s metal cutting tools and value‐added services, such as carbide recycling and tool reconditioning, to optimize strategic customer accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate with marketing and technical departments on the introduction of new cutting tool products and launches in the inventory program.
- Ensure the proper implementation and execution of customer development, including analysis and reporting of customer data to support front‐line sales managers, case monitoring for Service Level Agreements, and provision of timely interventions and solutions for key customers.
- Review key customer contracts, legal agreements, and functional payments in support of Sales, Operations Global Processes and Marketing teams and ensure commercial conditions, specific plans, and agreements are aligned.
- Provide information to key customers regarding the cutting tool product offering, services, new tooling solutions, and relevant marketing activities.
- Provide product offering solutions for unresolved key customer inquiries and secure Service Level Agreements with key customers.
- Prepare data analysis and reports to Sales and Account Managers regarding key customers, industry segments, mapped trends, deviations, leads, and suggested activities. Coordinate and execute inventory and logistics activities to achieve optimal levels of product stock/inventory for cutting tool sales and distribution while reducing obsolescence.
- Perform stock management tasks, including demand planning, consignment, and supplier order management for cutting tool products.
- Oversee the ordering process for cutting tool technology for authorized local suppliers in accordance with global guidelines. Increase customer satisfaction while reducing inefficiencies.
- Perform protection control of finished product inventories by adjusting the parameters in the supplier, inputs, process, outputs and customer (SAP) system to meet customer needs.
- Analyze, report and forecast inventory for the main stock and branch locations.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management
- Five (5) years of experience as Operational Account Specialist, Customer Service Specialist, Customer Service Manager, and/or Logistics Specialist
- Four (4) of the five (5) years of experience must have included customer service and business development, sales operations and distribution management, and inventory management and demand planning for cutting tool manufactured products, and the use of SAP/EBP and CRM Dynamics.
- May telecommute from home two days per week within Mebane, NC MSA.
- Up to 25% domestic and international travel.
