Position Overview

Sandvik is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as Service Engineer specializing in Crushing and Screening equipment. The Service Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through technical expertise and effective communication.

Job Summary

Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Service Engineer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This position will support Indonesia team for Crushing and Screening business by providing pre-sales and/or post-sales technical supports to customers including installing, commissioning, testing, inspecting, and maintaining products, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support to customers including installing, commissioning, testing, inspecting, and maintaining products, equipment, and systems.

  • Troubleshoot, investigate, resolve, and develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start-up and operation.

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment's upgrades that will meet customer needs.

  • Monitor and resolve recurring more complex problems to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.

  • Establish and maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers to develop secure and develop their future business.

  • Monitor and resolve recurring problems to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.

  • Perform regular visits from a Product Support person whose visits would entail highlighting areas of improvement for maintenance, parts and operation. Collect operational and maintenance trend data, and identify reliability risks, submit written reports that detail equipment conditions, and recommend improvements, upgrades or additional services to improve reliability.

  • Train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased. Proactive follow up calls and mails to the customer, keeping them updated + relationship building.

  • Report and document executed work according to relevant procedures and work instructions.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by manager.

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, equivalent relative experience may be considered.

  • 3-4 years exposure to crushing & screening equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and/or rebuilds. Familiarity with the mining industry is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, along with a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Intermediate English proficiency

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
