Sandvik Machining Solutions USA, LLC, headquartered in Mebane, NC is looking for a Engineered Solutions Quotation Manager (Job Code R0054426)

Your performance areas:

The Engineered Solutions Quotation Manager position is responsible for customized products and MTO (Made-To-Order) quotation activities. Coordinate sales quotes, engineered designs, and supply quotes with sales, customers, partners, and internal and global suppliers. Ensure compliance with engineered solutions product strategy, global business rules, opportunity management in CRM software, and ultimate customer experience standards. Accountable for Enquiry-to-Quote (ETQ) process Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key responsibilities include:

• Secure all new and repeat customized product and MTO requests and ensure they are handled within the target lead time
• Efficiently utilize the Company’s quotation resources globally, including securing orders and technical support.
• Coordinate with design and project offices to complete technical reviews and proposal drawings.
• Secure the key customer priorities for all quotations requests.
• Act as gatekeeper/dispatcher to ensure quality of incoming requests and assign requests to Quotation Specialists within the function.
• Implement and monitor global ways of working, processes, case management, CRM sales pipeline, product and business guidelines, and parametric pricing within the quotation team.
• Recommend and implement improvements to processes and tools that are consistent with requirements of Business Support and the Process Team.
• Build and lead a strong global team that supports the Company’s strategy for Customized Products and MTO quotation activities.
• Monitor and ensure CRM data is current and accurate.
• Take corrective actions as needed for quotations related to sales pipelines.
• Perform regular follow up and reporting for ETQ process KPIs and adjust leadership of team accordingly.
• Ensure employee performance and secure development and training activities for quotation specialists systems used in the ETQ process.
• Provide talent development and succession planning through mentoring.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology and two (2) years of experience as Quotation Specialist providing quotation support for custom engineered tools
• Alternatively, the employer will accept no degree, and three (3) years of experience as Quotation Specialist providing quotation support for custom engineered tools
• The two years of experience with degree, or three years of experience with no degree, must have included the technical analysis of customer needs, and providing order management for custom engineered metal cutting tools. May Telecommute.
