The role

Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for a Service Technician to carry out mechanical duties, repairs, fault diagnosis work, pre-delivery work, rebuild work on all mobile and fixed machines/components as directed, and general workshop duties as required. The role is responsible to ensure efficient maintenance of our client’s fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment, working on-site and in the workshop

Areas of responsibility

  • Carrying out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
  • Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
  • Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
  • Adhering to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies

Your profile

  • Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required
  • Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong and proven safety culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals
  • Proactive, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Class C Manual Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
