The two companies are part of the Sandvik Group, which has 37,000 employees worldwide and a total of 160 people in Norway. Sandvik Teeness AS is a world-leading supplier of tools and expertise to the metalworking industry, comprising sales, production, research, and development. Sandvik Norge AS supplies equipment for drilling, loading and crushing to the mining and construction industry and has factories on all five continents.

The position involves overall HR responsibility for both the aforementioned Sandvik companies in Norway, as well as membership of the management group of the UK and Ireland for the Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions business area.

The location for this position is Trondheim, and a certain amount of travel is expected.

Your mission

In this role, you support the organization in HR-related questions and contribute with your knowledge and expertise. You have the responsibility as HR manager for Sandvik Teeness AS and Sandvik Norge AS. This is a key position where you get to manage and evaluate a large amount of information and acknowledge the needs of our organization.


The role requires the ability to work with HR at a strategic level in a broad international and research-centered environment as well as carry out strategic and operational HR work at both local and national levels. In addition, the role is part of the management groups of both companies and is an active participant and contributor to the development of the management groups, as well as of other departments and employees.

The role also includes EHS Manager responsibilities at Sandvik Teeness AS. This requires the ability to work in a systematic and preventive manner concerning EHS, through long-term strategic work and day-to-day operations, with a Safety First company culture.

Your profile
This position requires managerial experience, as well as experience of both HR and EHS. In addition a higher education qualification, preferably at the equivalent of a masters level in a relevant subject. The role requires the ability to coordinate multiple areas of responsibility and meet the Sandvik Group's needs in terms of professional requirements and delivery, as well as operational delivery locally, at both legal companies.

Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English are also important in this role as we act on a global setting. This combined with your genuine interest to understand our business and confidence in making decisions to move forward, enables you to develop processes – helping us see things from a greater perspective!
