Your Mission

As a Warehouse Clerk, you will support critical inventory and warehouse operations, including cycle counting, inventory validation, receiving, storage, retrieval, and distribution of parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of cycle counting and inventory control processes.

  • Use Excel workbooks and internal Quick Base systems to verify inventory balances and identify variances.

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of warehouse functions, including:

    • Receiving & Put‑Away

    • Part Picking

    • Issue Log

  • Inspect incoming packages for accuracy; sort, record, label, store, and distribute parts based on established systems and documentation.

  • Transport parts to designated locations by lifting, climbing, walking, and using equipment such as forklifts, ladders, and high‑lift machines.

  • Troubleshoot warehouse issues or escalate them to the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Properly handle hazardous materials according to all safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Support other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

  • Adhere to Sandvik Alachua Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and contribute to its ongoing improvement (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018).

Your Profile

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Previous warehouse experience required.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time, indefinite basis without sponsorship.

  • Commitment to Sandvik safety policies and applicable industry, customer, and regulatory standards.

  • Ability to identify and report unsafe work practices.

  • Consistent adherence to company values, policies, and procedures.

  • Positive, cooperative attitude when working with the supervisor and other personnel.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of LEAN concepts and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with databases such as BOM and engineering drawings.

  • Proficiency in receiving/shelving, picking, and using issue logs.

  • Ability to train Warehouse Clerks and support continuous skill development.

  • Comfort working with minimal supervision.

  • Openness to new technology, evolving processes, and managing multiple priorities.

Outdoor & Lifting Requirements

This position involves routine physical activity, including lifting, walking, climbing, and operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and ladders. Some tasks may occur outdoors or in non‑climate‑controlled areas.
