CO2 reduction initiative launched at Sandvik

As part of the ambition to become an even more sustainable business, in 2013 Sandvik launched a CO2 reduction initiative aiming at increasing the purchase of electricity from renewable energy sources, such as hydro, wind, solar and biomass.

Owing to this work, Sandvik's CO2 emissions were reduced by approximately 110,000 tons in 2013 compared with the preceding year, corresponding to about 20 percent of the Group's total CO2 energy emissions.

The work continues in 2014.
