CO2 reduction initiative launched at Sandvik

As part of the ambition to become an even more sustainable business, in 2013 Sandvik launched a CO₂ reduction initiative aiming at increasing the purchase of electricity from renewable energy sources, such as hydro, wind, solar and biomass.

Owing to this work, Sandvik's CO₂ emissions were reduced by approximately 110,000 tons in 2013 compared with the preceding year, corresponding to about 20 percent of the Group's total CO₂ energy emissions.

The work continues in 2014.
