Major materials handling order

In October, Sandvik Mining was awarded a major materials handling contract in South America.

The value of the contract exceeds 650 million SEK and will be recorded as order intake in the fourth quarter.

The contract will be executed and also contribute to Sandvik Mining's business for the years 2013 until 2015.

The order includes engineering, manufacturing, freight and site services of conveying systems comprising relocatable and modularized type conveyors, for a surface mine.

"The importance, size and complexity of the conveyor systems and the performance data demonstrate Sandvik Mining's capability to provide high-tech solutions in the area of continuous mining", says Gary Hughes, President of the Sandvik Mining business area.
